An Introduction from the Company Director

I’ve lived in Melton Mowbray all of my life and consider myself a well-known face. I am married to Tina, who is the company’s secretary. Her roles include the monitoring of payroll, Risk Assessments and Method Statements, Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Area Applications, and employee legislation and welfare. I have two teenage daughters who have made it perfectly clear (apart from the occasional help with a log order or two), they do not want a future in this industry when they are older – we’ll see. My interests are visiting steam rallies, countryside living and shepherd’s huts (of which I have recently built), as well as my tree surgery business which I am extremely passionate about. I am a get-it-done person, not afraid of hard work, and I value a job being done to the best possible standard without exception. I am supervisory in the workplace and expect every job to be completed with due care and safety in mind. I am normally on most jobs from start to finish and make sure I build up an approachable and friendly relationship with my customers. This is so we can discuss their needs and with my professional know-how, deliver the best possible work, which is aesthetically pleasing whilst being what’s best for the health of the tree or shrub. Another keen interest of mine is the environment. This shows by how we recycle all the biproducts of the business, to occasionally include planking down some of the tree stems, making habitat boxes and even selecting our vehicles and machinery to reduce carbon emissions wherever we can.
